He put a bullet on his head it didn't make the headlines Instead all he got was a short note on the sixteenth page of a newspaper no one reads no more oooh, they don’t read no more She's had only one lover all others men were just for pleasure then he left for the Red Cross he’s now in Sudan saving lives and she wishes he wasn’t so selfless oooh, why is he so selfish? this city is beyond my grasp but there’s something to her that lingers on part of it is being a part of the scenery part of it is having nowhere to go He was a prophet of doom, eagerly lusting for all to end instead all he got was a string of new days that failed to end with mankind though one day he'll be right and savour his victory with pride I’m an ambitious go-getter climbing letters that will be kicked hung out to dry by strangers whose expressions are the same I’ll keep banging my head on walls Until they finally come down this city is beyond my grasp but there’s something to her that lingers on part of it is being a part of the scenery part of it is having nowhere to go

You would twist like a cat When I would lay my lips upon your skin You would believe all of my lies As if truth were merely a dream And all the hopes we carried Would carry us all along the way We would leave each day as if living were merely a play Darling, You're just like a widow Who lost its hope But not its beauty I miss your smile when I run out of faith I miss the tomorrows we built yesterday When all the shades we saw weren't so gray Within the choices we had, we could have our own way Such a lovely spring it was back then Voices on the radio speaking of freedom Silenced by the many helmets that came we sat down quietly as our dreams left our hands Darling, You're just like a widow Who lost its hope But not its beauty

Somewhere, honey, there’s a fear I hide Trapped in a shelter, where desires collide Somewhere, honey, there’s a a lot that passes but not all gets to become our past Somewhere, honey, beneath your dark eyes Lays the holy power to dissimulate Somewhere, honey, while I braid your hair you weight your gains and seal my fate (você era tão bela pra mim tão temível, ao mesmo tempo, tão singela. você já era mais mulher, do que eu jamais fora, ou serei, homem.) The night reeks of temptation and doubts A pinch of irony in my damnation and fault I saw nothing between us, but you were above in an acetic world; a glimpse of love
